Some of the universities located in the Houston area are University of Houston, UH - Clear Lake, UH - Downtown, Rice University, University of St. Thomas, Houston Baptist University and Texas Southern University. Houston Community College System also serves much of Houston. San Jacinto College serves parts of the eastern and southeastern sections of Houston.
